KaroSnip
Terms of service

Simple terms for an unlisted sharing service.

These terms govern KaroSnip, operated by Cristian Cotovan trading as Media Makers in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using KaroSnip sharing, you agree to these terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.

Effective 12 July 2026 · Last updated 13 July 2026

The service

KaroSnip provides passwordless accounts and account-owned, unlisted image and video links. The public URL is a bearer link: anyone who obtains it can view and re-share it. KaroSnip is not encrypted end-to-end and must not be used as a secret vault.

Karo Free has documented per-account storage, share-count, and video-size limits. If Karo Pro billing is enabled, monthly and annual prices are shown from Stripe before Checkout and a subscription starts only through your explicit action on Stripe's hosted page. We will not silently turn a free account into a paid subscription.

Karo Pro billing

Karo Pro renews for the interval and amount shown at Checkout until cancelled. Stripe's customer portal shows renewal and cancellation state and is the place to update payment details or cancel. Mandatory taxes and consumer cancellation rights apply according to your location and the information shown at Checkout.

Active, trialling, and past-due subscriptions retain Pro limits while payment recovery is in progress. Cancelled, unpaid, paused, or expired subscriptions return to Free limits. A downgrade never deletes existing shares; when stored usage is above the Free limit, uploads and replacements pause until usage falls or Pro returns.

Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of content you upload. You give Media Makers the limited permission needed to store, validate, display, transmit, cache a rich preview, and delete that content as part of operating KaroSnip. This permission ends when deletion finishes, subject to bounded recovery copies and caches outside our control.

You must have the rights and lawful basis needed to upload and share the content, including any personal data it contains. You are responsible for the people with whom you distribute a bearer link.

Optional YouTube publishing

Karo's optional YouTube destination uses YouTube API Services. You choose the destination channel and review the video, metadata, audience, visibility, captions, thumbnail, playlist, and other publishing controls before Karo performs the action. Your use of YouTube through Karo is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

Disconnecting or revoking Karo stops future access but does not remove content already uploaded to your YouTube channel. You remain responsible for managing and deleting that content in YouTube.

Safety and enforcement

The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these terms. Every active share includes a reporting route. We may investigate reports, make a share unavailable, disable an account, preserve evidence, or report content when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or service protection. Operator actions are authenticated and audited.

KaroSnip has no public gallery or search and does not currently use automated media moderation. Reports are reviewed manually and urgent illegal-content reports are prioritised. Account owners may appeal an action through support.

Availability and liability

We use reasonable care and skill, but a beta service may be interrupted, changed, or withdrawn. Keep your original captures locally and do not rely on KaroSnip as your only backup. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory consumer rights.

Ending use

You can deactivate or delete individual shares and can permanently delete your account from the Account page. We may suspend or end access for material or repeated breach, legal requirement, or a serious security risk. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide an appeal path.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections and courts available where you live are not displaced. Material changes will be dated and presented clearly before they take effect where required.
